A subject expert brings deep knowledge of a field to a work someone else is building. They decide what a course or exam must cover, in what order, to what depth, and where the boundaries fall. That direction becomes the outline, the learning outcomes, the chosen readings, the exam blueprint. A publisher, school, or certification board brings them in early. Writers and compilers then build the material from that direction, and editors and reviewers work on it after. The subject expert supplies the knowledge the content stands on.
